When Maserati unveiled the open version of the GranTurismo at the 2009 IAA in Frankfurt, something remarkable happened. For the first time, Maserati introduced a true four seat convertible. Designed to carry four adults, featuring an open top and a naturally aspirated V8 mounted at the front. The GranTurismo itself debuted in Geneva in 2007 and moved from concept to production in just nine months. That alone speaks volumes about Maserati’s determination to bring this model to market. The GranCabrio followed shortly thereafter and remained in production until 2019.
Beneath the long hood sits a naturally aspirated 4.7 liter V8. The engine is positioned far back in the chassis, resulting in a weight distribution of 49 percent front and 51 percent rear. It is a large convertible, yet it drives with a compact feel that exceeds expectations, which only enhances the experience.
This 2015 example is finished in Grigio Alfieri with an interior in Marrone Corniola leather accented by Grigio Chiaccio stitching. Elegant and warm, yet sporty enough to underline the character of this Maserati.
This GranCabrio has had just one owner and comes with a complete dealer service history. Only a few months ago, it received major maintenance at an authorized Maserati dealer. Everything is documented. Books are present. Invoices are included. Exactly as you would want.
The condition of this Maserati reflects its 28,000 kilometers perfectly. We invite you to review the extensive photo gallery on our website for a closer impression. In our opinion, the interior color combination is stunning. The leather appears virtually new and the entire cabin presents beautifully, just like the exterior. The top operates electrically and fully automatically. Within seconds, this Maserati transforms from an elegant coupe into an open grand tourer.
And one more important point. The GranCabrio is not a two seat Maserati. It is designed to travel comfortably with four people. A weekend trip to Italy is effortless. A long drive to the south of France remains relaxed and enjoyable.
Approximately 11,700 GranCabrio models were produced. This was never mass production and it is far from an ordinary sight. This is a magnificent naturally aspirated V8 convertible from an era that is gradually disappearing. That alone makes it an especially compelling Maserati, further enhanced by its timeless color specification.
