The 2003 Jaguar XKR is widely considered the sweet spot for this model. It’s the "facelift" version, which means you get the better 4.2-liter engine and a much-improved transmission. But this isn't just any XKR – this is a genuine R-Performance model. It’s a Swedish-sold car with a unique history, having started its life as a flagship promotion car for Jaguar Sweden. Because of that, it was built with every single high-end option available at the time.

Exterior: Better Than New

The car is finished in Classic Silver, and the condition is simply incredible. The paint, the lights, and all the trim look exactly as they should. What really makes this Jaguar XKR stand out are the wheels. Most of these cars came with 5-spoke wheels, but this one has the ultra-rare 3-piece BBS wheels that came on the R-Performance models. They feature champagne bronze centers with polished lips and are wrapped in fresh Michelin tires.

Perhaps the most impressive part is what you see when you lift the hood or look underneath. This Jaguar XKR looks like it has never seen a rainy day, let alone a salty winter road. There isn’t a speck of corrosion on the bolts or the aluminum parts. It truly looks brand new from top to bottom.

Interior: The Rare Recaro Spec

Inside, the cabin is finished in black leather and is in fantastic shape. Since this is the Jaguar XKR R-Performance, it has the special Recaro sport seats in both the front and the back. These are very rare and completely change the feel of the car.

The interior is packed with high-end details:

Dark grey wood trim, a black Alcantara headliner, and aluminum pedals.
The "R" Package: The steering wheel, shift knob, and floor mats are all R-branded.
The Tech: It’s got the premium Alpine sound system, navigation, and fully electric memory seats.

Everything works perfectly, and the dark wood gives it a much more modern, sleek look than the standard walnut.

Engine and Drive: Smooth Supercharged Power

Under the hood of this Jaguar XKR is the 396 hp Supercharged V8. Because it’s the facelift model, the power is effortless and the 6-speed transmission is silky smooth. It sounds great, powerful but refined and the torque makes it feel fast in any gear.

On the road, this 2003 Jaguar XKR is the ultimate GT. It’s incredibly quiet inside, very comfortable for long trips, and has a large trunk for your luggage. The brakes are sharp, and the whole car feels "tight" and well-maintained.

History and Documentation:

This Jaguar XKR has a crystal-clear history. It was sold new in Sweden in late 2002 and has only had a few owners who clearly pampered it.
