Description

The 1993 Jaguar XJS 6.0 Monaco is a design masterpiece by Paul Baily.

This is the last example of a series of 11 units (7 in the coupe and 4 in the convertible version) manufactured by PBB Design, Paul Baily's company.

Paul Baily was a highly technically gifted man who gained a significant part of his experience in the aerospace industry.

Afterwards, he worked for Glenforme Engineering, which built extraordinary specials based on Range Rover and Rolls-Royce.

In 1987, Paul Baily started his own company, PBB-Design. Stuart, Paul's brother, joined the company, providing the necessary computer knowledge.

According to Paul, the Jaguar XJS was a missed opportunity for Jaguar to put a true, pure sports car back on the market after the E-Type.

After the design phase, a 1:1 scale model was made, allowing Paul to further refine the shape on the model. For example, he wanted to fit larger wheels without compromising maximum steering angle and suspension comfort.

The Monaco boasts an impressive tire size of 245 at the front and 335 at the rear!

Once the model was perfect according to Paul, it was painted to check if the play of light on all the curves would match the design.
After final approval, the molds were produced, and production of the Jaguar XJS Monaco could begin.

Paul Baily's Jaguar XJS Monaco design was so successful that even Aston Martin adopted parts of its design, which is a great compliment!

In 2001, after 11 examples had been produced, the curtain fell for PBB design.

A technical and creative genius, however, Paul Baily lacked business acumen.

The XJS Monaco offered here is the final masterpiece of PBB design.
The 6.0V12 engine has been tuned by AJ6 Engineering and has an extra 70 horsepower. To ensure the car comes to a stop smoothly, ventilated Jaguar Sport disc brakes and calipers have been fitted all around.

After only 49,000 km, the car is in exceptionally good condition.
Step inside and enjoy the summer.

The electric convertible top closes perfectly and lowers quickly with a simple press of a button.
The engine sound of the 6.0 V12 from the stainless steel exhausts is breathtaking, a symphony of delight for the true car enthusiast.
The majority of the 11 Monacos produced are located outside Europe.
The chance of a Jaguar Monaco V12 Convertible being offered for sale again is extremely rare.
