Questo modello rappresentò ben presto il successo del marchio Innocenti che dopo gli avviati accordi con la casa inglese BMC (British Motor Corporation) ottenne la produzione in Italia.
Questa splendida Mini Innocenti MK2 del 1968 modello 850cc con 37 cv e stata oggetto di un minuzioso restauro riportandola al colore originale “Amaranto 68” con tetto “Sabbia” e interni beige, la meccanica è eccellente così come sono stati rivisti impianto frenante, sospensioni idrostatiche e varie altre cose. Le targhe nere originali Trento e il libretto a paginette verde corredano l’auto che con le cerniere delle porte a vista e i vetri scorrevoli rappresenta un’icona per gli appassionati del marchio inglese che tanto fece parlare di se nelle competizioni con John Cooper.
This splendid Innocenti Mini represents the most successful car produced by the Lambrate-based automaker Innocenti, which, after ceasing its two-wheeler production with the Lambretta, decided to shift its focus to the world of four wheels.
This model quickly became a success for the Innocenti brand which, following established agreements with the British company BMC (British Motor Corporation), obtained production rights in Italy.
This beautiful 1968 Innocenti Mini MK2, 850cc model with 37 hp, has undergone a meticulous restoration, returning it to its original “Amaranto 68” color with a “Sabbia” (sand) roof and beige interior. The mechanical condition is excellent, and the braking system, hydrolastic suspension, and various other components have been thoroughly overhauled. The original black Trento license plates and the green booklet-style registration document accompany the car, which-with its external door hinges and sliding windows-represents a true icon for enthusiasts of the English brand, made famous in motorsport by John Cooper.
