As early as the 1920s, Horch focused on the luxury segment which allowed Paul Daimler to bring his 8-cylinder serial engine to life, something he wasn’t able to do during his time at Daimler. For many years, this was the only drive unit Horch used. Fritz Fiedler, Paul Daimler’s successor, then created the 2nd generation of Horch 8-cylinder engines for the model 410 which started selling in 1931. Continuous development led to the series 853, a luxury car with gorgeous bodies and the factory made sports convertible was simply perfect.
Our Horch 853 Sports Cabriolet arrived in Hamburg in 1945 where it was registered until the end of the 1950s. The experts at Prahl restored the oldtimer authentically and the luxury convertible has been with a collector since 2011. You will love driving this classic!
