Touring Body 3714.
One of just 82 examples produced; this 212 Inter wears its original coachwork by Touring & is a particularly pleasing & elegant shape. This car has ben under long term onwership & now comes to us as an estate sale. The car has participated in the Mille Miglia multiple times in recent years.
The car when new was specified with the desirable triple carburettor high output engine. This was replaced in period with a simlar unit to similar specifcation.
Overall the car is in very nice condition lightly patinated from use. It has particpated in numerous events over the years in addition to the Mille including the Pomeroy trophy at Silverstone etc.
This closed bodied Berlinetta by Touring was delivered new to Andre Meert in Brussels, by 1968 it was owned by Dutchman Paul F Schouwenburg, when its engine, was damaged by frost, and was swopped for the engine from a sister 212 Inter, chassis number 0193EL. In the 1970s the vehicle went to Italy and was a regular competitor in the Mille Miglia Storico, now registered 473 UXA it resides in the UK.
