There are cars that make an impression, and there are cars that leave a lasting mark on your automotive soul. The Donkervoort D8 GTO 2.5 RS unmistakably belongs to the latter category. A masterpiece of Dutch engineering, built with one clear purpose: pure, unfiltered driving experience. Manual transmission, as it should be in a true driver’s car. No filters, no compromises: just you, the road, and the Donkervoort. Or, as Donkervoort themselves put it: “the D8 GTO-RS is designed to stimulate all your senses, to help you relax, but above all… to drive.”
From the remarkable history of the Donkervoort family business, many spectacular models have emerged, and the GTO is certainly one of them, especially in RS form. The Donkervoort D8 GTO-RS was built from 2016 to 2019. The RS is an evolution of the legendary GTO, featuring improved aerodynamics, lighter components, and an even stiffer structure. Everything about this car breathes a passion for performance: from the carbon chassis to the Alcantara-trimmed bucket seats and the minimalist, race-focused interior. Every detail is functional; every gram serves a purpose.
Under the hood lies Audi’s magnificent 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder engine. Compliant with EU6 emissions standards, it produces 379 hp (279 kW) in the GTO-RS, while the car weighs just 695 kilograms. The numbers speak for themselves: 0–100 km/h in just over 2.7 seconds and 0–200 km/h in 7.8 seconds. Top speed is 280 km/h. All accompanied by a spine-tingling soundtrack and handling that turns every corner into an addictive dance of precision and adrenaline.
The D8 GTO-RS we are offering was built in 2017 and delivered new in Berlin, Germany. The original purchase invoice, including the extensive list of bespoke specifications, has been retained with the car. This GTO-RS has been configured with great taste: the exterior is finished in the striking color “Ferrari Grigio Scuro”. The interior features black RS sport seats upholstered in leather and Alcantara, equipped with five-point Luke harnesses. The power-assisted sports steering wheel is also trimmed in Alcantara and feels superb in the hands.
During its first year, maintenance was carried out by the German Donkervoort facility in Düsseldorf. In December 2018, servicing was performed at Donkervoort in Lelystad, and since February 2019 the car has been registered in the Netherlands.
The service booklet lists the following maintenance history:
05/2017 at 1,150 km – Donkervoort Düsseldorf
09/2017 at 6,700 km – Donkervoort Düsseldorf
12/2018 at 9,000 km – Donkervoort Lelystad
12/2019 at 22,119 km – Donkervoort Lelystad
07/2020 at 23,400 km – Donkervoort Lelystad
10/2021 at 25,516 km – Donkervoort Lelystad
04/2023 at 27,370 km – Donkervoort Lelystad
04/2025 at 27,707 km – Donkervoort Lelystad
It hardly gets more exclusive than this. The D8 GTO 2.5 RS is rare, highly sought-after, and an icon of Dutch automotive history. A car that turns every drive into an experience and rewards its driver with an intensity that modern supercars rarely deliver anymore. With just 28,500 kilometers on the odometer, this is an exceptionally well-preserved example: cherished, and not consumed.
