The Bentley Turbo R is widely regarded as one of the most important luxury performance saloons of its era. Introduced during a period when Bentley was seeking to establish a stronger identity separate from Rolls-Royce, the Turbo R combined traditional British craftsmanship with impressive power and road presence. The ‘R’ in its name stood for ‘roadholding’ reflecting significant improvements in handling and suspension compared to earlier Bentley models.
