According to the valuation reports, one from 1995 with a replacement value of DM 18,500 and another from 2016 with a replacement value of €33,000, the Beetle received an overall condition rating of 2.
In 2016, the Beetle was completely restored by Gerd Weiser in Düsseldorf (see pictures W1 to W36).
From 2016 to 2026, the Beetle covered only 12,492 km with its new replacement engine. It was driven exclusively during the summer months, averaging approximately 1,249 km per year over the last 10 years. During the winter months (October to May), the car was stored in a well-ventilated garage.
In 2017, the convertible soft top was completely renewed. The top frame was sandblasted and powder-coated, all rubber seals were replaced, and the soft top was reupholstered using original black Sonnenland fabric, including new padding and headliner.

In November 2025, the car battery was replaced.
The engine is a replacement AT engine equipped with dual Weber carburetors, a sport air filter, and a fully electronic Bosch ignition system, producing approximately 100 HP / 74 kW. This setup makes it ideal even for comfortably overtaking tractors on country roads. A specification sheet for performance-enhanced VW engines (see picture D1) as well as an electrical wiring diagram (see picture E1) are available.
The Beetle is in good condition and has a fully documented service history. Naturally, it shows some signs of normal use and age. All valuation reports, spare parts invoices, TÜV documents since 2019, and workshop/service records dating back to 1992 are available.
The next TÜV inspection is due in June 2027. The Beetle has had only two previous owners and carries a historic “H” registration plate. All special equipment and extras can be found in picture W5.
