According to the Lagonda Club of Great Britain, the V-12 Drophead Coupé offered here was delivered new to James Scott and Son, of Dundee. In recent years it was fully restored in Sweden by world renowned Rolls Royce & Bentley specialists Rohdins Automobil in Sweden. Over 6000 hours went in to the car & it was completed in 2008.
The car needless to say is in spectacular condition having covered few miles since restoration & has resided in a heated garage. It is finished in pale blue over silver; a striking combination that accentuates the flamboyant lines of the car. To the interior is black hide throughout with a black mohair hood to match the car. The burr walnut has also been removed & expertly refinished.
This is a car that represents the apogee of pre war manufacturing. A wonderful convertible body allied to a seamlessly smooth V12 engine designed by no lesser personage then Walter Owen Bentley himself. A mere 189 examples of the V12 were produced making it a rare bird indeed.
We will be UK registering the car in December as soon as it arrives with us. At the same time we will conduct a full & up to date photo shoot of the car to our usual standards.
