With just 750 units produced from 1967 onwards, the Alpine A110 1300 Gordini saloon is a rare and sought-after model. Sold new in France in July 1968, this car has been in the hands of its second and current owner since March 1970, who has kept all the car’s invoices since he acquired it!
The car has never been raced and has been used only occasionally for short local trips; it features its original brown simili-leather upholstery with a beautiful patina and a Momo Prototypo steering wheel reupholstered in black leather. Externally, it doesn't come with the usual lights in the front hood, which were optional until 1969, but it features classic Cibié headlights with protective covers and ‘Speed Sport’ alloy wheels painted grey.
Powered by the original 1,255 cc Renault Gordini engine (103 hp manufacturer’s rating) and fitted with a 5-speed manual gearbox and reverse gear (optional), the car underwent a mechanical overhaul in 2017 and brakes overhaul this year. With a comprehensive report by the French expert Alexis Delicourt (who has handled Renault's own collection expertise), a collector’s certificate issued by Renault, a valid MOT and a French collector’s registration document (carte grise), this car – as rare as it is desirable – is now ready to begin a new chapter in its history with its third owner since new!
