This motorcycle was built in February/March 1996 as one of only 50 factory race bikes produced by Ducati Corse for its own works team, various semi-works teams worldwide, and as reserve machines. It comes with official Ducati certification, including chassis and frame number, as well as a factory record card personally created and signed by the legendary Ducati engine chief, Giulio Mengoli.

This specific bike was used by Ducati Corse as an official test machine when was promoted to factory rider — a season in which Frankie Chili claimed memorable victories at Brands Hatch and Monza. It comes directly from Ducati and was personally arranged for me as a token of appreciation for a successful collaboration in MotoGP – a rare and historically significant collector’s piece.
