The 997 generation of 911 was released in 2004, and was tasked with bringing the 911 concept into the 21st Century. Porsche's designers and engineers made several key revisions to the 997 over the outgoing 996. Visually, the car bears more resemblance to classic 911 design than its predecessor, most notably shedding the controversial 'fried-egg' headlights.

The turbocharged version of the 997 series featured the same 3.6 litre twin-turbocharged engine as the 996 Turbo. It also offers higher fuel efficiency compared to the 996 Turbo. The 997 was the last generation of 911 to feature the famous Mezger engine, named for its legendary engineer, and was only fitted to the Turbo and GT models, making this Turbo one of the final models to feature such an engine.

This 997 was supplied with a raft of optional extras (always a must with a 911), including the Sports Chrono Package, a must among enthusiasts, and - to add to the Turbo's Grand Touring pedigree - an electric tilt-and-slide sunroof.

This Turbo has been maintained to an exceptional standard by its current owner. This is demonstrated by the comprehensive history with a stamped service book up until June 2021, and all services since then have been carried out by Porsche specialists. The car is also supplied with a valid MOT until May 2026.
