This original Phase 1 GTI is the ideal example for any collector or enthusiast, especially with slim the bumpers and early dashboard layout. Fitted with the free revving 1.6 litre engine and finished in white, this is a highly original example throughout which hasn’t been modified nor tuned. Both the bodywork and paintwork on this 205 are in great condition throughout and the shut lines are consistent. The standard 14 inch speed line alloy wheels look great for their age, as does the plastic trim around the car. The interior is a time-warp back to the 80s. This GTI features the original red and black cloth seats, which is a signature of the early models. The bolsters remain supportive and snug with no tears or sagging. The carpets and head lining are intact and original. The standard, three-spoke GTI steering wheel looks the part and has a great feel to it and the dials are period correct. Overall, the interior feels very analogue and retro, whilst delivering a kind of engagement modern hot hatchbacks can’t replicate.

This Peugeot 205 GTI features the original engine. It goes smoothly and feels engaging with the five speed manual gearbox. The overall experience is very driver focused.
