Newly delivered in Switzerland, matching numbers and provided with a valuation report worth € 15,000.- Only 1 Dutch owner, who bought the Sud from a well-known Alfa Romeo specialist. Very rare now, especially in this nice 3-door facelift version. Original, untouched and unrestored!

The exterior looks very nice and the paint still has a deep shine. Largely even in 1st paint and there are hardly any signs of use. You can tell from everything that it has been well looked after and that the car was an indoor sleeper. The particular colour is called ‘Marrone testa di moro’ with a ‘Velluto castoro’ interior. Literally translated it is dark brown with a velvety beaver, Italian is a beautiful language!

The interior is completely original and in remarkably clean condition. The seats still have the original upholstery. The dashboard is completely without cracks and the instruments all work as they should. Truly beautiful such a time capsule. So this Alfasud is almost 100% original and that can be called unique. The few remaining Suds are often 1.2 versions with 5 doors and this 3-door 1.3 is more attractive and almost impossible to find.

The water-cooled boxer engine starts instantly both cold and hot and provides a wonderful sound. A boxer engine has many advantages: vibration-free, low centre of gravity and no critical revs at all. On the motorway, the engine is remarkably quiet thanks to the double bulkhead in the engine compartment. The Alfasud was the best steering front-wheel-drive car of its time and driving it is still great fun; tight steering, powerful brakes and a nice boxer engine sound. In fact, you're on the road in a modern classic that you can use every day. And competitively priced given its nice condition.

The Sud was designed by Rudolf Hruska and his team, and they developed a genius compact car on time and on budget. Praising reviews from all automotive journalists, it was a great new compact car. It could have been a great success about 2 years before the Volkswagen Golf came on the market, and and the Golf could also rust tremendously.... Because of the inexperienced workers on the assembly line, many strikes and poor steel, the first years were dramatic. Fortunately, better steel has been used since 1980, even partially galvanised.

At 81,700 km, the timing belt with water pump was replaced and after that the current owner had maintenance done for € 2,270.- so the Sud has been punctually maintained. All necessary maintenance has also been carried out recently including a new battery. It is very likely that the odometer reading is the original reading. The last owner chose cool 15’ rims with new tyres, which looks much sportier. The original rims with tyres are also present.
