Triumph TR 4A IRS, year 1966.
Colour British Racing Green combined with a black interior trimmed with white piping and black carpet. This magnificent and quite rare Triumph TR4 A IRS was extensively restored in the past, the car is in excellent condition.
The interior shows-off a gorgeous walnut dashboard filled with chrome bezel gauges and a wonderful original steering wheel. Under the long bonnet a 125 bhp cast-iron 2.2 litre four-cylinder engine is installed, fitted with two Weber twin-choke carburettors. The power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a four speed manually operated gearbox, and an overdrive which works on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear.
A special feature of the TR 4A IRS is the ‘IRS’ Independent Rear Suspension construction which gives the rear wheels of the IRS more grip and a more comfortable ride than the live axle found on the earlier Triumph TR sports cars.
Furthermore, this Triumph TR is fitted with a Stainless-Steel exhaust, an electric cooling fan, and Minilite style wheels with chrome ‘knock-on’ wheel nuts. This is a highly desirable Triumph roadster!
