History of the Model and This Example
An icon of British automotive design, this 1968 MG B GT represents the perfect balance between the elegance of a coupe styled by Pininfarina and the driving pleasure of an authentic English roadster. Enhanced by a "concours condition" restoration, this example is a rare opportunity to acquire a legend in exceptional condition.
Launched in 1965, the MG B GT (for Grand Touring) was Morris Garages' response to demand for a more versatile and comfortable version of its celebrated roadster. Thanks to Pininfarina's genius, the B GT gained a practical tailgate and a beautifully pure fastback roofline, transforming the car into a 2+2 coupe as practical as it is elegant. Its success was immediate, with the GT quickly becoming a benchmark for sporting driving enthusiasts wishing to travel in style.
The example we are offering benefited from a full, no-compromise restoration in 2015, carried out by the Boche Auto workshops. Every aspect of the vehicle - bodywork, paintwork, interior and mechanicals - was addressed to achieve a "concours" standard. Finished in its most iconic livery, British Racing Green, and fitted with a beige leather interior enhanced by green piping, this MG B GT is a true time capsule. Numerous options, such as overdrive and chrome wire wheels, add to its appeal and authenticity.
