Description:
This Ferrari is one of only two examples built of the prestigious Ferrari 348 TS Challenge from 1992. In 1992, driver A. Marasco (a Roman lawyer) alias “John Wayne” prepared this 348 TS in the “racing” version (not yet Challenge) to compete in the 1992 GT Championship with the number 9 and various sponsors such as Auto Capital and Sa.Mo.Car. His aim was to bring a Ferrari GT back into the racing world after a 20-year absence. This event, in which this car was the protagonist, actually marked the start of the successful Ferrari Challenge series. This 348 was the real hook of the series, and Ferrari itself took this car as a model to develop the “Challenge Kit,” which was later made available by Ferrari for racing cars. In 1993, the car was equipped with the official Challenge Kit and participated in the 348 Challenge Circuit with the number 12, followed and sponsored by dealer and workshop Sa.Mo.Car.
