1985 | Honda VFR 750F

This Honda VF750 F was first registered in 1988, but was built in 1985, as is indicated on the motorcycle.

The motorcycle is in very nice original condition and runs perfectly—a unique piece of motorcycle history for classic motorcycle enthusiasts.

This Honda motorcycle model was offered in three versions from 1982 to 1986 (VF 750 S, VF 750 C, and VF 750 F). The VF 750 S was the first motorcycle to feature the new V4 technology. The transversely mounted engine produced 60 kW (82 hp) at 9,500 rpm in its base version. This model series established Honda's V4 tradition. The cylinder bank angle of the V-engine was 90°. The mixture was produced by four Keihin constant-pressure carburetors VD 62 A with a diameter of 32 mm (VF 750 S/C), (VD 61 B with 30 mm for the VF 750 F). The compression ratio was 10.5:1. The two left-hand cylinders fired one after the other at a 90-degree crank angle; the two right-hand cylinders fired 270 degrees later at a 90-degree crank angle. This resulted in a 360-degree firing offset for each bank of cylinders. This irregular firing order resulted in exceptionally strong power and an exhaust note characteristic of these V4 engines, vaguely reminiscent of a Ducati V2 engine.
