Description

The elegant little Volvo 'shooting brake' estate car 1800 ES (Estate) which Volvo presents in August 1971, is a variant of the classic P1800, designed as early as 1956, but only in production from 1961.

Volvo sees a market in the US for a handy and fast station wagon for golf and hunting equipment. A so-called Shooting Brake. Jan Wilsgaard keeps Pelle's front, but elegantly continues the lines and creates a successful estate car. A special feature of the 1800ES is the large tailgate made from a single piece of glass. It is elegant and together with the large side windows, it provides an exceptionally good view. It is a design that Volvo has since continued in some of their other models. The engine is also changed from 1.8 to the slightly more powerful 2 liters with injection.

This 1800ES is number 1836354006630 - It has the original color; Riviera Blue and gets a lot of positive attention on streets and alleys. We think it's the most elegant estate car out there. You can't put a finger on it anywhere and it runs amazingly well.
