Description

The third roadster version of the post-war period at Mercedes-Benz started with the 350 SL of the R 107 model series, in which a V8 engine was installed. Soon there was also the 450 SL – also with a V8 engine – and, especially for Europe, the 280 SL with the six-cylinder engine. From May 1980, the V8 light-alloy engine with a displacement of 3.8 litres was used in the 380 SL, supplemented by the 500 SL. The R 107 series was built for an incredible 13 years! Even today, it is becoming increasingly popular as a classic car because it is suitable for everyday use.

Our Mercedes-Benz 380 SL Roadster was first registered in Munich on 20 May 1985. In 1986, its owner took it to the USA. Since 2018, the classic has been back in Germany in 2nd hand, but is currently not registered. Its mileage is approx. 136,000 km. Yes, there are minor signs of use, but the rare colour combination of black with beige leather is still particularly chic.
