Description
The presented Mercedes-Benz belongs to the W21 series produced betwee 1933 and1937. This is a version with a shorter wheelbase of 2,600 mm and a roadster-style body with additional space for two people under the cover in the rear part of the body. Under the hood there is a six-cylinder, bottom-valve engine with a displacement of 1,961 cc, generating 40 horsepower. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a three-speed manual gearbox with overdrive. The car has been in Poland for several dozen years and was purchased by the current owner in the 1970s for comprehensive reconstruction. The renovation lasted from 1987 to 1999 and was carried out in a professional workshop specializing in pre-war vehicles. After the work was completed, the car repeatedly took part in events organized by the Vintage Mercedes Club Poland, being the decoration of many rallies, meetings and fairs related to classic motoring.
