A very special Mazda MX-5 NBFL 1.6 for sale. In 2001, the facelift (FL) of the second generation (NB) of the world’s best-selling roadster was introduced. This example is the so-called “Unplugged” edition.

A brand-new, 20-year-old Mazda MX-5 sounds almost too good to be true. And yet, we have managed to add one to our collection. Below is the unique story of this nearly new car.

The story begins in the showroom of Ford/Mazda dealer “Autobedrijf Misker” in Emmen, where this MX-5 spent several years as a display model. In 2009, the silver MX-5 was finally sold to a local enthusiast from Emmen. Upon special request, it was fitted with elegant “Enzo” alloy wheels instead of the more striking original sport wheels. The elderly couple who purchased the car had it professionally rust-proofed immediately and drove it only about 10,000 km over a period of 13 years.
In 2022, the car was traded in at the local Kia dealer for a vehicle with a higher seating position. The Kia dealer’s owner initially intended to use the MX-5 as a fun summer convertible but ultimately drove it very little. Thanks to a tip, we discovered this unique car and now have the honor of finding a new enthusiast for it.

Wherever you look, the car is in perfect condition. The bolts, nuts, leather interior, convertible top—everything is in exceptionally original, pristine condition. A true collector’s piece for anyone seeking a perfectly preserved MX-5.
