1971 | Jaguar E-Type V12 (2+2)

This series lll LHD E-Type has been extensively and very expensively restored by a qualified engineer. It has had a complete engine, gearbox and bodywork restoration including respray and new BAS UK leather interior per original spec. A/C that actually works. It is probably one of the most genuine and well documented E-Type's ever offered

The current owner continued to improve the car by replacing the original carburettors with new SU carbs and Lucas electronic ignition system for much improved performance and reliability. (The original carburettors are supplied with the car in case a future owner wishes to restore its originality).

The Series lll headlights have been professional converted to the sleek enclosed earlier series which are universally preferred giving the E-Type its beloved and beautiful face. Images shown in the advert include those from before and after the headlight conversion. The vehicle has a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate No. 75909 issued on December 20 2024 which shows it was manufactured on Tuesday January 26 1971 and exported to the USA on Friday February 12 1971 where is has spent its life in the warm Arizona climate. It was re-imported into the UK and registered as an Historic Vehicle, Exempt from Road Tax in the UK on February 1 2025 with a new V5C when the current owner acquired it and had the further work done.

It has a new MOT from July 2025. Since the engine rebuild it has done less than 200 miles, during testing. The mileage shown in the advert is default and not the actual mileage. Dozens of photographs are available of the rebuilding and restoration work including a detailed description of all the work done. It will make a fantastic investment and is only being sold by the current owner due to illness. The car is currently available to view near Reigate West Sussex.
