The beautiful Jaguar E-type 'XK-E' 3.8 series 1 dates from 1963 and is therefore an early example with the style features that are appreciated by so many. This Jaguar has been completely restored to a very high level, down to bare chassis level. The E-type has full matching numbers and a fantastic color.
About fifteen years ago, this E-type was restored down to the smallest detail and to the highest level. The previous owner owned the car for a very long time. The E-type is finished in Carmen Red, over a black leather interior. Beautiful paintwork adorns the E-type, the bodywork of which is also in formidable condition under the paint. The fits are fantastic, doors and hinged parts close optimally. Literally beautiful chrome completes the exceptional condition of this car.
As already mentioned, this 'Jag' has matching numbers, the numbers completely match those on the type plates under the tilting hood. The engine is in top condition and fully to factory specifications, including the original radiator, coolant overflow tank and air filter. The correct, straight front subframe rails are also present. All wiring is also completely in order and completely to factory specifications, so with the correct casing.
The interior of an E-type remains fantastic, with an unprecedented amount of atmosphere and the wonderful smell of leather. The rubber seals are all very fresh. All trim parts, metal, wood and leather, are also completely intact. The original plywood side windows are still present, which is rare, they are in neat condition. Lucas's original rear-view mirror is also still present.
After the restoration, the car was only driven 2,000 miles.
