GET TO KNOW THE CAR

MEADOWS ENGINE
The inline 1. 5 litre engine, build by Henry Meadows Ltd., was often improved. This being 1 of the 50 rare racing engines by fitting a deflectorhead with revised port shapes and bigger valves, the turbulance in the combustion chamber increases resulting in a greater power output. This engine is the ex Miss V. M. Wilby (YG6020) a well known female rally driver in period. This car also had a full HCS engine rebuild in 2018.

CHAIN GANG
The chain gang is always an impressive sight. The axle has a sprocket with the same number of teeth as on the driveshaft, driven from the main with extra sprockets to control the gearing. These can be altered to suit cruising or sprinting.

FOUR-SPEED TRANSMISSION
Basically a collection of outside-mounted sprockets fitted to a transverse shaft just ahead of the rear axle, the TT’s transmission is simple but very effective and proved to be reliable.

CONDITION
This Frazer Nash is probably the nicest and most honest car you can find. But what would you expect as the current owner has been the custodian for over 25 years. Having enjoyed the car in more rallies than he could sum up. The car has been at HCS for regular service and the engine had a full rebuil in 2018. Resulting in a car ready for another 25 years of rallying.
