With the Taunus P3, Ford left behind the trapezoidal lines of its predecessor model, the P2. The car had neither tail fins nor excessive chrome ornamentation and had a more European appearance.

It not only looked more functional, but was also much more economical and practical than its predecessor. The modified body shape resulted in 20% lower fuel consumption at higher speeds as well as better acceleration values and a higher top speed.

History

The current owner acquired the Taunus from a coachbuilder around 12 years ago.

The technology, underbody sealing and interior were completed by the current owner.

He himself only drove the P3 with red license plates and never registered it. There is no expert opinion and no H registration. However, the assessment of the chassis, steering, brakes, engine and gearbox as well as the body apparently show no difficulties in obtaining a Tüv and also the H license plate.

Well-preserved or even reasonably restored examples are quite rare these days, which is why prices have risen to well over €20,000.
