Model History and This Example
The embodiment of the American dream, this 1966 Ford Mustang Coupé, fitted with its legendary 289ci V8, has benefited from a full restoration. An icon ready to return to the road, in exceptional condition.
Launched in 1964, the Ford Mustang single-handedly created a new category of car: the "Pony Cars". Aimed at young Americans in search of freedom and style, it enjoyed phenomenal commercial success, with nearly 3 million examples sold. Its secret: a spectacular design, numerous personalisation options and characterful engines, notably the famous "289ci" V8.
In France, its reputation soared thanks to its appearances in cinema, in Claude Lelouch’s "Un homme et une femme" and "Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez", and in competition with Johnny Hallyday at the Monte-Carlo Rally. It quickly became the symbol of sixties America, synonymous with performance and driving pleasure.
The example we are offering is the culmination of a passionate restoration project. Completely dismantled and restored from chassis to engine, it is presented today in "zero kilometre" condition. Its 4-speed manual gearbox configuration, paired with the 289ci V8, delivers an authentic and exhilarating driving experience. A rare opportunity to acquire a legend, made reliable and ready to write new chapters in its history.
