Books have been written about John DeLorean. So let's disregard the colorful founder of the car brand of the same name. What remains is a unique car, a brilliant concept and a car that was made world famous by the Back to the Future films. Whether the DMC DeLorean would have become as famous without the movies and still be as loved today, we will never know. This copy is from 1981 and has a number of cool details that later copies no longer had. For example, the car is equipped with the hood of the type with the long grooves, the car is equipped with black leather upholstery and it was equipped with the new type of rims as on this copy.

The bodywork was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and is a beautiful piece of design. The way the car is built is an equally great masterpiece, the basis is a Y-shaped chassis that was inspired by the Lotus Esprit. Around it is a fiberglass underbody on which the stainless steel body is mounted. A wonderful way to build a car. Most likely, the appearance alone is responsible for the fact that rumors have surfaced so often that someone wanted to restart the illustrious brand. The brushed aluminum exterior gives the DeLorean a beautiful and futuristic look and still looks to get through a ring. The appearance is completely original and the body is in a neat condition. Nice extra with a DeLorean: filling is of course not possible, so damage cannot be covered up. Fortunately, the exterior still looks exactly as the DeLorean left the factory.

The interior is neat. It will therefore not surprise you that the inside of the DeLorean looks completely original and is in neat condition. We sometimes see it differently at DeLorean's, but this copy has neat upholstery on the seats and the dashboard and other parts are still very neat in terms of upholstery. The carpets are of course also in good condition and the instruments and controls all function exactly as they should.

The technology is neatly taken care of. The technology has already been taken care of. The engine and transmission are also very solid. The DMC DeLorean is powered by a 2.7 liter V6 engine that DeLorean was allowed to build under license from Renault. The engine produces 132 hp and in this case is coupled to a 3-speed automatic transmission. The engine and transmission are more than up to the task and make the DeLorean a wonderfully relaxed touring car. The car is also equipped with independent wheel suspension all around and excellent brakes and therefore drives excellently.

In short: a DeLorean that can provide many enjoyable rides. Traveling to the future with it will be difficult, but there is certainly a nice future ahead of you with a DeLorean in your possession.
