1972 BMW 2002 tii LHD

This lovely lightly restored early BMW 2002 tii is the sort after model being the round tailight and metal front grill version.

First registered in May 1972 at BMW Paris, France.

The history with the vehicle shows it was imported into the Uk in 2016 where is has under gone a cosmetic restoration. it shows no evidence of being welded and also appears to maintain its original body panels. 

The vehicle comes with a fair amount of receipts, import papers, UK V5 with no previous owners, UK mots including the current MOT and original owners hand book and blue wallet.

We purchased the car from our good friends who had to many cars in their collection to maintain.

Since being in our ownership the complete drive train running gear has been removed.

While the drive train was out the shell we cleaned the entire underside of the vehicle, all joints were thoroughly cleaned and seam sealed, Raptor under body protection was applied and the under side painted into original Riviera blue.

Axle hardware has been stripped then shot blasted and powdercoated into a satin black finish. Nuts, bolts, bracketrey and fixings were replaced or stripped and zinc plated.

The complete braking system, cylinders, bearings, bushes, steering and ball joints have been replaced on assembly of the drive train.

The engine has been fully inspected and all gaskets and seals replaced and the same with the gearbox.

The propshaft was given to our prop shaft specialists for refurbishment and balancing.

A set of fully refurbished wider original tii early wheels with chrome caps and new tyres were sourced and fitted.

Any slightly tarnished brightwork has been re - chrome plated or replaced with new including all trim fittings and hard ware.

The interior is original and very tidy with the rare original one piece moulded carpet, Roof lining is excellent and the dash board is crack free.
