A full four-seater convertible model, the Bentley Azure was first shown to the public at the 1995 Geneva Motor Show. The new car used much from the Continental R model, launched a few years earlier, but featured exterior design work from well-known Italian company Pininfarina who also, unusually, built the shell and soft-top in their Italian factory, before the vehicle was shipped back to Bentley in Crewe for final assembly.

The first generation Bentley Azure was available for 8 years, with around 1400 built before production ended in 2003.

The example offered here was first registered in the UK in August 1997 and remained there until 2016, when it was imported to Jersey, with a little short of 42,000 miles recorded. The car’s service record log has been completed and dealer stamped up to 2016. The Bentley has had limited use in the island and now shows just under 48.000 miles.

The Azure was pretty rapid for a car of its size, employing the long-running 6.75-litre V8 from Bentley in turbo- charged form, mated to a four-speed automatic transmission from General Motors. This setup was rated at 385 bhp and could push the car along at speeds of up to 150 mph, with a 0-60 mph acceleration figure of 6.5 seconds. Driving well, a service was last completed in October 2025, which included a brake system refresh and new suspension spheres.

With an elegantly understated appearance courtesy of Pininfarina, the car has plenty of road presence. Finished in a deep burgundy colour with colour-matched, electrically powered hood. The bodywork and alloy wheels are in very good shape, as might be anticipated with a well cared for vehicle.

As might be expected of a luxury Bentley, the car’s interior is a sumptuous mix of leather upholstery and wood veneer, all of very high quality and providing ample accommodation for 4 adults. All veneer work is in excellent condition; the beige and burgundy leatherwork is in very good condition as is the burgundy carpeting.

As the very epitome of luxury convertible motoring, this Bentley Azure offers comfortable travel for four passengers and would be completely at home cruising the French Mediterranean coast, amongst the rich and famous. In fine condition throughout, it runs and drives very well and is ready to provide a new owner with an exclusive slice of fresh-air motoring with real "presence".
