Offered for sale is my beautiful Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Roadster, built in 1957 and finished in elegant Anthracite Grey (Silber Grau).
This is a car that has been enjoyed and meticulously maintained rather than simply stored away. Several years ago it underwent a professional restoration where required and was refinished to a very high standard in its current colour. Since then it has been carefully maintained and driven only sparingly. An independent FEHAC-approved valuation carried out in August 2023 valued the car at €135,000.
The bodywork is straight, rust-free and in excellent condition. The paintwork still presents beautifully, the mechanicals are well maintained and the car drives exactly as a 190 SL should. It is fitted with twin Weber carburettors, a Becker Avus radio, white-wall tyres, windscreen, tonneau cover and numerous renewed rubber components.
The car comes with an extensive history file, invoices and photographs documenting the restoration. It is an American import that has been in my ownership since 2011.
The reason for selling is simple. I own two Mercedes-Benz 190 SLs. I have decided to keep my 1962 example, which means this beautiful 1957 car is driven too little. Rather than leaving it in the garage, I would like to see it go to an enthusiast who will appreciate and enjoy it.
This is an honest, high-quality 190 SL that is equally suited for touring, rallies or as part of a discerning classic car collection.
