1983 | Land Rover Defender 110

The original Land Rover Series began production in Solihull in 1948 and until its decades-long production run ended in 2016, more than two million Defenders were produced, becoming a British automotive icon. Since production ceased, the revered model has been in increased demand from both collectors and those willing to use this tough, utilitarian vehicle in the way it was designed for. It was only in 1989, following the introduction of the all-new Land Rover Discovery, that the Defender received its own name.

First registered 23rd September 1983, this example of the 12 seat Land Rover County is presented in red with cream top and County decals and safari roof rack. This 110 has been family owned from new by the Hall family, first business owned from 23rd September 1983 until October 2017 when it transferred to Mr Hall, when he passed away in December of 2017 it then passed to his son who sadly passed away in March this year with the car then transferring to his wife who is currently named on the V5 registration document. Described as in remarkable condition for its age and almost completely original, this is a solid testament to it being parked in a barn for most of its life when not in use until the last few years when it has been stored under canvas to protect from the elements.

Supplied with the original sales invoice from Hampton Wick to Mr Hall when new, it has the original 2.5 litre diesel engine and manual gearbox.
