Dutch DS 23 Pallas 5-speed in immaculate original condition. Highly original and meticulously maintained. A Dutch DS in this condition is extremely rare in any case, and everything that needed replacing or improving has been done so. Truly a superbly maintained DS. For sale by private owner.
The DS was originally delivered in the distinctive (and stunning) Pallas colour ‘Brun Scarabee AC 427 LE’ and, as with many classic cars, the bodywork has been repainted once. A few years ago, the Dutch owner commissioned a repaint of his beloved car, and the quality of the paintwork is excellent. The bodywork is beautifully taut and all the original details are well maintained. Many stainless steel and chrome parts have been replaced in the past, and the bumpers appear to be original. The chromework is therefore immaculate, with only slight signs of wear. The hollow sections have been treated and I have not been able to detect any rust. The doors close perfectly and the seams are also in excellent condition. Everything under the bonnet looks immaculate too.
The Pallas interior is stunning. The spacious seats and rear bench have been fitted with new leather upholstery in the original ‘Tabac’ colour, and it looks magnificent. A lovely detail is the removable cushions on the headrests. The rear bench also has seatbelts, just like the front seats. The Pallas version features many fine details that differ from the DS Confort. There is much more chrome, the seat backrests are higher, there are larger ceiling lights, brown leather loops as handholds, and the door handles are set in a stainless steel plate.
