Inspired by the well-known and popular Saturday afternoon TV series DAKTARI and the safari adventures of the 1960s:

The Classic Defender Works V8 - Daktari Edition.

In collaboration with our experienced colleagues at LAND ROVER Germany, we at CLASSIC have created the Daktari Edition and developed it with our team in the UK.

Closely based on the LAND ROVER 109 Series 2a from the TV series with the colour Dark Grey, the car roof in White, the steel rims in car colour, the bumper in Silver and the striking sign on the side with the permissible payload.

The interior colour in Caraway is based on the colour of the savannah in Africa and perfectly matches the exterior colour Dark Grey.

Other features include the LAND ROVER CLASSIC radio with DAB, Bluetooth and navigation and a ‘Land Rover Daktari’ emblem created for this edition on the tailgate and the original LAND ROVER WARN winch on the front.

Every Land Rover Classic Defender with Works V8 powertrain has been reworked for the ultimate Defender experience.

They are equipped with an OEM 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine from Land Rover with 405 hp and 515 Nm of torque, coupled with the 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF.

The driving experience is enhanced by the tuned Eibach suspension developed for the Works V8 Defender with revised coil spring rates, damper, anti-roll bars and an upgraded Alcon braking system for greater dynamism and safety on the road

The DAKTARI edition was only built in an exclusive run of 10 vehicles. with 90 Station Wagon, 90 Softtop and 110 Station Wagon variants.
