Bosch mechanical fuel injection — revolutionary at the time — delivered approximately 215 horsepower. In the 1950s, those figures were groundbreaking. A manual gearbox, fully independent suspension, and performance levels that still command respect today completed the package.
The Gullwing Coupé is legendary. But the Roadster, introduced in 1957, is arguably the version enthusiasts truly want.
