Description
The ‘sports car boom’ that emerged in the USA in the post-war years presented an interesting sales market. The British car industry was the first to capitalise on this huge demand. Daimler-Benz observed the phenomenon closely and had big plans. The prototype of the 190 SL was unveiled at the 1965 New York Sports Car Show, and the public’s response was simply overwhelming. Deliveries of this stunningly beautiful and robust roadster began in May 1955, and by February 1963, 25,881 units had been built. It was a huge success.
Our Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Roadster comes from the first series featuring bucket seats. This classic car was first registered in Germany to a prominent owner. It is now in its third ownership. The mileage is estimated at around 118,000 km. The classic car is ready to drive straight away.
