1977 | Mercedes-Benz 350 SE

Just one year after production of the W 108 series began, Daimler-Benz started developing its successor, the W 116. In addition to the Mercedes virtues of manufacturing standards, spaciousness and comfort, the specifications called for driving dynamics, safety technology and modern styling. For the first time, Mercedes-Benz used computer-controlled calculations to determine the strength of the body. The market presentation took place at the Paris Motor Show in October 1972. With its V8 engine and newly developed axles, the Mercedes luxury class took a giant leap forward. The large limousine was quickly regarded as the best car in the world. This vehicle was the first to officially bear the name ‘S-Class’.

Our Mercedes-Benz 350 SE limousine from 1977 already has the modern K-Jetronic mechanical fuel injection system. The classic car was delivered in Schleswig-Holstein/Germany at the time. Many service visits to Mercedes-Benz and the mileage of 73,000 km are documented. With this configuration, the S-Class is suitable for everyday use.
