The Story:
The car was bought from a corvette dealer in Kansas City in 2008. Driven along Mississippi down to New Orleans and shipped to Norway.
Since then, it has been out for small trips in the summertime when the weather has been good. It’s taken well care of - stored in garage in wintertime.
I had a minor collision in 2016 where a car drove into the left front fender causing it to crack (fiberglass). The speed was very low, and there was no other damage. A new fender section was installed, and the fender and hood were painted. Photos of the damage can be shown if desired.
Otherwise, the Corvette has functioned very well over the years in my possession.
I had the car at Mobilforum Classic in Germany this winter for a full inspection of the entire car so that everything is guaranteed to work for the new owner. Completely new tires have also been put on the car.

Bodywork/paint:
The frame is steel and the body is plastic. There is only surface rust on the body and the mounting bolt on the right side was replaced in Jan 26 due to rust on the protective frame.
The paint is, to my knowledge, original except for the left front fender and hood which were painted after a small collision damage in 2016. A photo of the damage is attached and labelled.
The paint is "charmingly" cracked, but intact and fine without scratches on the entire body except for some marks on the removable roof wings.
Technical condition:
Turn the key and the Corvette starts with a bang and purrs like a cat. The "Corvette sound" is in place - the driver's automatic transmission forward makes the car ready to take you out on a pleasant trip! The cruise control works well and ensures comfortable driving in relation to speed limits.
Engine gearbox and most technical parts are original. In addition to the usual annual maintenance since the car was purchased in 2008, the water pump, fuel lines, part of the air pipes for vacuum lines have been replaced. Brake drums and brake bands have been replaced as well as the left door handle. The two exhaust mufflers were replaced with Corvette Magnaflow Aluminized Mufflers in 2022.Oil has been changed every other year. Oil leakage can be a drop (sweat?) from the engine, but it is not much or often.
The workshop that has had the Corvette in for inspection and repair of the air conditioning, replacement of the body suspension on the right side and several other things (ref. attached photocopy of invoice), describes the car's technical condition as excellent!
The reason the Corvette was put in this workshop this winter was that I wanted to be sure that the next owner will get as good a car and experience as I have had.
Interior:
All interior carpets, mats chairs are original. The same applies to the dashboard. The chairs are leather and I replaced the back plates on these in 20225. They are made of high-quality leather and there were cracks in them.
The electric windows work well and give a feeling of luxury considering that the car was produced 48 years ago.
The original radio was replaced in 2022 to a RetroSound Corvette DAB+ (C3 1968 - 1971). (Original radio included as an extra). I would describe the interior as normally worn and good!
The T-top is easy to remove and put on. Rubber seals were replaced around 2017 and there is no leakage. All rubber Seals and wires Are in Good condition
This Classic Car is truly a good item for classic car collectors. Only 6,205 of the 1YZ87/78 Base Car Limited Edition Corvette were produced. This out of a total of 62,900 units of the C3 78 Corvette.
