Thorough historical research has shown that this BMW 327 Sportkabriolett was built in 1949. The chassis number indicates that this is the second example of the pre-series of the post-war 327/2. Only 14 copies were built. Because the equivalent EMW (Eisenacher Motorenwerk) was built from 1952, this is an original BMW 327 Sportkabriolett.
Recently, the car has got a lot of technical attention. In particular, the fuel supply, the engine tuning, the steering, the differential, the gearbox and the brakes have been thoroughly serviced or restored.
The black-red color scheme looks great on the BMW. The soft top is in excellent condition. With "matching numbers" of the engine and body, this is an attractive classic.
