2000 | Aston Martin DB 7 Vantage

 The Vantage version of the DB7 was introduced at the 1999 Geneve Salon. Ian Callum who designed the original DB7 was also responsible of the exterior design updates of the Vantage, which gave the car a more masculine look. Also the handling was considerably improved. Traditionally the Vantage versions of Aston Martin models used an upgraded version of the basic model, but on the DB7 the Jaguar-sourced inline six cylinder was replaced by a totally new six litre 420 horsepower V12 developed in co-operation with Cosworth, making the DB7 Vantage the first 12-cylinder Aston Martin in serial production.

The Coupé version with manual transmission was the only version of the DB7 Vantage that didn’t have a 265 km/h electronically limited top speed, instead it will reach 296 km/h.
