Few sports cars have shaped automotive history as profoundly as the Porsche 911. Introduced in 1963 as the successor to the legendary Porsche 356, the "Nine-Eleven" rapidly established itself as an icon of German sports car engineering. The free-revving 2.0-litre air-cooled flat-six engine, producing 130 horsepower, is perfectly matched to the precise five-speed manual gearbox, delivering the engaging driving experience for which the early Porsche 911 became world famous. Its low kerb weight, direct steering and unmistakable soundtrack combine to create an experience that remains a benchmark among classic sports cars and defines the enduring appeal of the early 911.
