History
The Jaguar XJS is one of motoring's greatest GTs, a long, slender sports car with distinctive lines. It has evolved through two major updates, both in response to the crisis. By the late 1970s sales had dwindled to zero so the car was driven up and sales resumed. Then, in the early 1990s, Jaguar's proposed replacement fell through and it was necessary to extend the life of the car.
The result was the facelifted 1991 car, which got the superlative straight-six AJ6 engine, in our case the last iteration the AJ16 ( featuring coil-on-plug distributor-less ignition)as well as clever cosmetic changes, interior upgrades, better quality and, importantly, a galvanized body.
OUR CAR
This is one of the cars that has benefited from these changes. Elegantly finished in Kingfisher Blue over Ivory interior , it also appears to have the desirable Sport Pack. Delivered to the Italian market in 1994 and remained there since the car boasts full official Jaguar dealers service history .With only 79.000 kms and effectively two owners . Most importantly maintaining its original paint also benefiting from a very recent service in august 2025 with fluids filters and tank float replaced.
Presenting one of the most loved and looked after Xjs on the market, a very usable and very rewarding car for the weekend or daily guide.
