Trade-in car. The Jaguar Mk9 was only in production for 3 years from 1958 to 1961. In broad lines it was similar to the Mk8 but with the benefit of a larger size engine, disc brakes all-round and power steering. Because of its competitive pricing in comparison to the competition, a total of 10,009 cars were built. Our Jaguar dates from 1960 and was fitted with the then most expensive extra feature, an automatic gearbox. The car drives quite well, but we would advice carrying out a thorough inspection of the mechanics. The interior trim is in wonderful condition with a lovely patina. The paint is good but not perfect. Before we acquired the car it was owned by the same person in North Carolina (USA) for the past 10 years. All in all this car will not require a lot of work done to prepare it for the coming old-timer season. THIS VEHICLE IS IN OUR STORAGE, VIEWING BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
