Our car is a so-called red over red example and is a feast to behold. This car has already been fully restored and is in a fine state. The nice and thin panelwork is correctly aligned and looks amazing. The chrome brightwork also fits well and looks great. The car has its original steel rims with the original hubcaps all shod in correctly sized rubber. The Mustang has been sprayed in the timeless “Rangoon Red” finish. The paintwork was particularly well redone at the time of restoration and has remained in splendid condition.
The car’s inside is divine. Red on red may sound like overkill but with a Ford Mustang Fastback it is just so very right. The replaced carpets are in good condition. The upholstery has also been renewed and looks great. The dashboard is very neat with all gauges, switches and controls working as intended.
This Mustang has a lovely powerful 289 Cubic Inch V8 engine supplying power to a 3-speed automatic. The engine provides ample torque throughout the range and sounds sublime. The Ford Mustang has a near magic aura, offering a driving experience like none other. Driving this Mustang too is a delight. Both brakes and suspension are more than up to their respective tasks and were replaced as part of the restoration.
