Few modern BMW models have achieved the cult status of the BMW 1M Coupé. Produced for just a brief moment between 2011 and 2012, the 1M stands today as one of the most celebrated modern M cars ever built, a compact, raw and uncompromising driver’s machine that captured the essence of BMW M at its purest.

Engine and Drivetrain

At the heart of the 1M lies BMW’s twin turbocharged 3.0 litre inline six cylinder N54 engine, producing 340 horsepower and up to 500 Nm of torque with overboost.

Power is delivered exclusively through a six speed manual gearbox to the rear wheels, ensuring a direct and engaging connection between driver and machine. With 0 to 100 kmh achieved in just 4.9 seconds, the 1M delivers performance that remains highly competitive even by modern standards. The chassis, partially derived from the contemporary M3, provides exceptional balance, precision and feedback, making the 1M one of the most engaging M cars ever produced.
