A special Freestone & Webb Bodied Bentley MK 6 with all aluminium coachwork. Freestone & Webb of Willesden, North London created bespoke bodywork for 106 Mark VI Bentleys of which 18 were finished to their design reference 3046/C.
Being a special order this car came with with many extras including, wind down front seats to the base giving more leg room and extra space for the man with a bit of a belly! Plus coffee tables to the rear, full length sunroof, single lever push down windows to the front, electric windows to the rear, original sheepskin rugs to the rear, original tool kit in excellent condition, original handbooks, manuals, still retaining the original registration number, full extensive service history and regularly serviced by well known Bentley specialists.
In the late 90s the engine was totally rebuilt including a re bore, all new pistons and new clutch. In 2013 new tyres fitted and in 2016 a new exhaust system was fitted. This is A beautiful un messed about with car in every respect and retaining a lovely patina inside and good paintwork to the exterior. It is still finished in its original livery of Masons Black and Brewster Green with contrasting pale green interior.
There are massive bills in the file from assorted specialists including A & S Engineering of Alton & also West Hoathly garage running into tens of thousands of pounds that are well worth reading. They reflect the meticulous ownership this car has enjoyed by its last two long term RREC member owners.
Just recently the headling has been renewed, new boot carpet manufactured & installed & EZ power sterring fitted making the car a pleasure to drive. Indeed it drives beautifully & is simply a pleasure ot take down the road.
The coach work is extremely elegant & way ahead in our opinion of the more common standard steel examples.
