The Mondial T marked the final and most advanced evolution of Ferrari’s Mondial series, produced between 1989 and 1993. With its innovative “T layout” featuring a 3.4 litre 300 bhp dry sump V8 from the Ferrari 348 mounted longitudinally with a transverse gearbox, it delivered sharper handling, more balanced dynamics and a far more sophisticated chassis and suspension setup. Add to that power steering, ABS and adjustable suspension, and it becomes clear why the T version is the rarest and most desirable Mondial.

This particular car was delivered new in 1990 by Adelmauto SRL in Sicily, finished in the exceptionally rare Blu Sera Metallizzato (504 C) with a red leather interior. It is a striking specification that perfectly suits the car’s elegant yet purposeful lines, and one that is almost never seen on a Mondial.

Behind the wheel, the Mondial T is every bit a driver’s Ferrari. The V8 delivers its power with real urgency, accompanied by a tubi style exhaust to produce asoundtrack that is as rich and addictive as any Ferrari of the era. Thanks to its perfectly balanced chassis, the car feels agile yet composed, making it a joy to drive both on winding roads and on longer journeys. Even when cold, the gearbox shifts smoothly, a detail that underlines the quality of this particular example. And with its 2+2 configuration, generous elbow room and light filled cabin, it is also one of the most usable Ferraris of its generation, a car you can genuinely share and enjoy.

In our workshop, this Mondial T recently benefitted from a complete engine out service. Timing belts, fluids, filters and the brakes were renewed, ensuring that it performs exactly as intended. Mechanically it is superb and ready for countless carefree kilometers, cosmetically it presents equally well. The bodywork is in excellent condition, the interior shows minimal wear and all functions from the air conditioning to the adjustable suspension operate perfectly.

The history and documentation are just as convincing. In 2011, under the ownership of Pisani Anna Maria, the car was awarded the prestigious ASI Gold Plate by the Automotoclub Storico Italiano. Since 2020 it has been registered in Belgium, where it is now offered with Belgian papers. Accompanying the car are its original Ferrari leather pouch with stamped service booklet and warranty card, the ASI fiche and Gold Plate, a binder of maintenance invoices and Belgian registration documents.

A Mondial T in such a rare color combination, with complete documentation and a recent major service, is more than just an accessible Ferrari. It is the perfect blend of usability and excitement, a genuine driver’s Ferrari with practicality, balance and sound that make it an absolute pleasure to own.
