1924 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost Springfield Pickwick Saloon
Chassis Number: 339LF
Registration Number: SV8641
COMING SOON:
A beautifully preserved low mile ghost coming to us from the estate of the late long term owner. When buying the Ghost he set about on an exhaustive search to find a low mile original car & was lucky enough to find 339LF. This car has covered a scant 62,000 miles fomr new & looks & drives like it. The foot pedals show no wear whatsoever. The steering is tight & play free. The car runs & drives in a manner thst only comes with these cars that have never been apart since leaving the fatory.
Coachwork is a 7 seat Pickwick Limousine by Rolls Royce Custom Coachworks. The car as a whole is in very original unmolested condiiton. To the front is the original black patterned leather. The rear is in deep maroon velour extending also to the fold out occasional seats. All the usual fittings including twin flower vases are in situ as when new.
The paintwork is royal garnet over black & in very nice order indeed. Twin drum headlamps adorn the front of the car along with dual side mount spare wheels to the sides shod with whitewall tyres. The car is quite spacious up front for the owner driver whilst also having a division to afford privacy to the rear passengers when required. Particularly useful when conveying ones mother in law.
The best part about this car however is actually driving it. The engine is strong, silent & powerful allowing for a slightly unseemly turn of speed when required to do so. It goes up hills with aplomb & has a strong go anywhere feel to it. The engine starts readily, exhibits good oil pressure & runs cool in comparative silence.
We will be properly photographing it in a few weeks time. This is a truly grand car that makes a grand entrance wherever it alights & is available now in Somerset by appointment for viewings.
