1933 Rolls Royce 20/25 Hooper 3 position Drophead.

Chassis number GTZ18
Registration number DRT99
Vintage and Prestige Fine Motor Cars are proud to be offering this 1933 Rolls Royce 20/25 Hooper 3 position Drophead for sale.
The body work is by Hooper and was specified with an unusually large boot for continental touring. The Back of the rear seat folds down allowing for huge travel cases to be accommodated in the boot. The coachwork takes the form of an eminently practical three position drop-head with the hood when down, sitting almost level with the bodywork.
The Rolls Royce 20/25 Hooper 3 position Drophead has had many thousands of pounds spent upon it over the last few years by the current owner; A discerning 20ghost club member whom also owns multiple Silver Ghosts. The engine was rebuilt by Rolls Royce themselves in the late 1950's according to invoices coming with the car. Indeed, the invoices coming with the Rolls Royce point to it having been maintained without regard to expense during the years it was running. It starts instantly and runs in perfect silence.
The interior is brand new burgundy leather complimented by beautifully figured Burr walnut which has been recently refinished. Under the two front seats is an almost full tool kit with all small tools in their appointed places. The roof is of Blue Mohair and is new. All larger tools are in their appointed positions under the bonnet.
The car has been fitted with overdrive making it a very very long legged machine indeed well suited to continentla touring with 60 MPH in overdrive top being easily attainable. Oil pressure is excellent at 30PSI when hot & the car runs cool at around 70 degrees temperature even on steep hils.
The current owner has approached the car without regards to cost & the car we find here is a testament to the works he has had undertaken upon it. I have to say that this is one of the best driving 20/25 cars I have experienced with perfomance comparable to a Phantom. The steering is taut & precise with no play whatsoever. The gear box wirking beautifully with an after market overdrive fitted which may be profitably engaged in both third & 4th gears.
The quality of the coachwork, Hooper body number 7851 is a testament to Hooper's reputation as being "the King of Coachbuilders." The three position roof allows for fully enclosed drives, half open sedanca style motoring or fully convertible use when the weather is clement.
